It’s that time again. Time for another Kellogg’s Canada product update. This time, the box is full of all sorts of different granolas and snack bars and healthy, fibre filled cereal. Don’t worry though. Kellogg’s hasn’t left out all of the tasty treats. Keep reading for the details on a new Canadian treat.
First, let’s start with the healthy stuff. Apparently, we are still not getting enough fibre in out diets. Before you resort to gnawing on tree roots to up your fibre intake, I’d suggest trying All-Bran Multi-Grain Crunch Cereal. One cup has nearly 1/4 of your daily recommended fibre. It’s has a slight maple/molasses flavour that definitely increases the yum factor. Plus, the box is a really cool iradescent green colour.
Smoothie bowls are all the rage right now. The new All-Bran and Nourish granolas can totally up your smoothie bowl game. They all may contain tree nuts, so they are not likely suitable for school. But quick breakfast at home? You’re winning with these granolas.
The All-Bran Cranberry Almond Granola serves up approximately 1/4 of your fibre needs in only 2/3 of a cup. There’s definitely almonds in this one, so best to leave it for home or your nut friendly office.
The new Nourish line now includes Mixed Berries and Dark Chocolate Popped Granola with Quinoa flavours. Neither one of these directly lists nuts as an ingredient. Both are loaded with so many delicious bits and pieces that you’ll forget that they are pretty good for you. I’d recommend giving both flavours a good shake before serving to make sure that you don’t end up with just oats and quinoa at the end of the bag.
And then, of course, there are granola bars. Because what would modern society be without granola bars, truly? Fair warning – all of them have nuts of all description in them, so they are definitely an eat at home snack.
The Vector Protein Trail Mix bars have everything but the kitchen sink, I swear. Peanuts, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, a chocolate coating. Pretty sure all of the major food groups are covered there.
In the Special K Nourish with Quinoa line – two new flavours: Coconut Cashew & Dark Chocoalte Chunks and Caramel Sea Salt & Mixed Nuts. Both are made with gluten free oats, so they should be safe for those of you with Celiac Disease.
Last but absolutely not least, I promised you something purely indulgent and Canadian. At long last, Pringles Chips now come in Ketchup flavour. Let the rejoicing begin! Our voices have been heard and our snacking can begin in earnest. Just be sure to wash your stained fingers when you’re done the can.
Now, here’s the part where you tell me if you concur or if I’m totally out to lunch. Kellogg’s has a prize pack filled with all of these goodies for one of my Canadian readers. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. Not responsible for lost or misdirected entries. Contest closes February 8, 2017 11:59 pm. Good luck folks!
