We recently took a trip to Canada Blooms with the three eldest in tow. This is not nearly as daunting as it sounds, with a little planning. We packed their school lunch bags, had Goose drop us off at the door to avoid worrying about where to put our coats, and brought the double stroller to make sure everyone had a chance to rest a bit.
Canada Blooms has once again combined with the National Home Show, making this a full day outing. However, both shows have done a good job of accommodating their youngest guests. Canada Blooms features a full play area, with intermittent activities, sand, digging tools, and outdoor musical instruments. Our kids had a blast and enjoyed taking a break from all the flowers.
On the National Home Show side, we encountered the great folks from Spring Free Trampoline. The kids got a chance to jump on their super safe trampoline system and burn off a little steam.
There was an awesome vendors market, selling all sorts of beautiful home and garden accessories.
There were live plants for sale – E2 got herself a purple orchid for her room. This year’s plant of the year, the Hellebore, was everywhere.
But the part that always draws my eye are the exquisite flower arrangements. There are multiple categories and each one is filled with truly unique works of living art.
