If you’ve been scrutinizing my blog lately, you may have noticed the Kinder Mom button over to the right hand side. This means I will get to share another year of Kinder-related news with all of you. This year is starting off with a Ka-Pow and a bibbity-bobbity-boo for our household. Kinder Canada has teamed up with Marvel Superheroes and Disney Princesses to offer a whole new line up of surprises. In fact, 2 out of 3 eggs will have the special toy in it.
These are a couple of the characters that have shown up so far. E2 is still holding out for Cinderella and Ariel. We have two of this Venom character – the boys have taken to battling each other with him. Of course, the entire group has been known to play together at my house. You might be surprised to hear what kind of mischief this particular combination can get into. Then again, if you have read any of my own children’s escapades, maybe not. You can check out the entire collection of Superhero and Princess toys on the Kinder Canada Facebook page.
This year, the boys are trying to figure out just what superhero they should be for Hallowe’en, without actually buying a new costume. The conversation around the breakfast table recently involved combining Wolverine and Robin the Boy Wonder. We have a giraffe and a monkey costume around here as well – a flying giraffe with steel pronged hooves, perhaps? Not exactly school costume parade friendly, but we will have to see what they come up with.
E2 is a princess pretty much every day. Each night before bed, she carefully selects her outfit, right down to matching socks and hair accessories. If a stuffed animal is accompanying her to school, it is not unusual that it will also need accessorizing. Attempts on the part of Goose or I to change the outfit are not met with happiness and cheers. I just pull outfits out for the boys and they wear them. Not so much the princess.
So, what about the kids in your house? Princess all the time? Super hero on the weekend? Or a super cape wearing princess?
